Why we built LawLlama.

I have been working in software development. My father was an entrepreneur and a lawyer, I grew up hearing stories about how he bought a computer more expensive than his first house just to do word processing better than the best technology at the time, a typewriter.

He was always technology forward with his firm, experimenting with new technologies like speech recognition in the 90s, and even as a non technical person started a software development company to build child support calculation software for Lawyers.

When the Attention is Everything whitepaper dropped and changed the way computers process information, creating the Language model revolution, where Star Trek’s promise of saying “Computer” and it understanding and properly understanding and answering your response was here I knew how much this technology was going to empower lawyers. The more productive lawyers and the legal system could become, the more people could get access to it for resolutions, and guidance.

I set out to create this technology and Partner with my Father who has not only been a lawyer, K.C. managing partner and general practitioner for over 40 years, but the firm he built to develop a software that would truly empower firms to reduce the pain points they experience daily, empower them to serve even more clients in their community and improve their workflow in a way far beyond what the word processor did decades prior.
